Funding opportunities

EQIP (Environmental Quality Incentives Program) – NRCS

EQIP - offered through USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) -- provides financial assistance to eligible landowners to help plan and implement conservation practices that improve soil, water, plant, animal, air and related resources on agricultural land and non-industrial private forestland. Landowners with non-industrial private forest land, cropland and pasture land who are interested in resolving natural resource conservation concerns can apply to receive flat rate financial assistance through USDA-NRCS EQIP. Technical assistance to landowners through My Lake Superior Northwoods is a free service. The upcoming EQIP deadline is March 2016, but NRCS accepts applications on a continuous basis.

My Lake Superior Northwoods can also provide technical assistance to landowner interested in other funding opportunities such as the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Partners Program, Wisconsin's Managed Forest Law (MFL) and Wisconsin Forest Landowner Grant Program (WFLGP), both of which are offered through Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources.
